How to export invoice data and import it into QuickBooks Online

Import your invoice data into QuickBooks Online

Request offers a QuickBooks-optimized CSV that you can generate and use to quickly import your invoice data into QuickBooks Online.

How to import invoices into QuickBooks Online

Exporting invoices from Request

  1. Log into Request

  2. Navigate to the Invoices menu

  3. Click on the meatballs icon "..." (see image below)

  4. Click on Download CSV

  5. Select QuickBooks-optimized CSV

  6. Click on Download

  7. If applicable: once downloaded, convert the USD values in the CSV to the currency you're using in QuickBooks

Importing your invoices CSV into QuickBooks

Requirements before you can import invoices in QuickBooks:

  • If not already done: convert USD values in the CSV to the currency you use in QuickBooks (see step 7 above).

Importing your invoices into QuickBooks:

  1. Log into QuickBooks

  2. Navigate to the Sales > "All sales" menu

  3. Click on New Transaction

  4. Click on Import Invoices

  5. Follow the instructions to import your CSV from Request

    • If you're importing new customers, products, or services with the CSV, tick Add new contacts that don't already exist in QuickBooks" and/or "Add new products/services that don't already exist in QuickBooks

    • When asked to select the date format, select D/M/YYYY
