Understanding the Positions Report

Learn about the Positions Report data points and configuration options

The Positions Report provides a complete overview of your cryptocurrency holdings across different wallets and exchanges. This guide explains the report's contents and configuration options.

To download a Positions Report, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports

  2. Under Accounting and Audit, click on Positions Report

  3. Next, configure your report according to your requirements and click on Export. Refer to the table below to understand the configuration parameters.

Field Name

Description

File Format

The format you wish to download your file in. CSV and Excel formats supported.

Date

The specific date for which you want to generate your Positions snapshot.

Wallets

The wallet(s) you want to analyze in your report.

Exchanges

The exchange(s) you want to analyze in your report.

Fireblocks Workspaces

The Fireblocks Workspace(s) you want to analyze in your report.

Assets

By default, the report includes all assets in your selected sources

Optionally filter for specific cryptocurrencies to focus your analysis

Ignore Tokens without Valuation

Choose 'Yes' to exclude tokens that lack current market prices

Choose 'No' to include all tokens regardless of price availability

Add Excluded transactions

Option to include previously excluded transactions in your balance calculations

Include spam token movements

Choose whether to include or exclude known spam token transfers

Aggregate sources

Combine data from multiple wallets and exchanges into one consolidated report

4. Download your report from the Report History table. Refer to the table below to understand the data points provided.

Field Name

Description

Date

The date of the position snapshot

Wallet Address

The public blockchain address of the wallet

Wallet Name

Your custom name for the wallet

Token Symbol

The cryptocurrency's symbol (e.g., BTC, ETH)

Token Address

The smart contract address of the token

Chain

The blockchain network where the token exists

Balance

Token balance in the wallet on the selected date

Token Price

Current market price of the token in your preferred accounting currency

Total Value

Total fiat value of your respective token holdings

Important Notes

  1. Balance Accuracy

    • Positions are calculated from transaction history

    • Accuracy depends on transaction data completeness

    • Regular reconciliation recommended

  2. Discrepancy Resolution

    • If balances don't match wallet/ exchange

    • Contact support for transaction history audit

    • Provide specific examples of discrepancies

For optimal accuracy, regularly verify reported balances against your wallet/exchange balances. Report any discrepancies to help us keep the platform accurate.
