Syncing to QuickBooks is available in early access. Please reach out to the Request Finance Team if you'd like to get access.
Keep your accounting accurate by automatically syncing your unpaid and paid bills between Request and QuickBooks Online, Xero or Netsuite. This integration ensures your liabilities are always tracked in real-time and eliminates manual data entry.
You must be Admin, Finance Manager or Accountant to set up bills syncing.
Set up your account for bills syncing
To get started, you first need to:
Connect your accounting software to Request
Match vendors between the two platforms
Match asset accounts from your accounting software with payment methods used for bill payments in Request
1. Connect your accounting software to Request Finance
Log into Request Accounting
Navigate to Accruals > ERP Integration
Click Connect and
Log in with the credentials of your accounting software
Review and approve permissions. Request needs access to:
Read your Chart of Accounts (to import categories)
Read your Vendor list (to match them to existing vendors)
Create new Vendors (future update: to enable automatic vendor creating in your accounting software)
Create and edit bills (to sync new bills and payment status)
Complete the connection
2. Verify vendor matching between Request Finance and your accounting software
To sync bills between the two platforms, Request needs to know which vendor in Request corresponds to which vendor in your accounting software. After the initial connection, Request Finance will try to automatically match vendors between both platforms based on their information.
Please allow for 24 hours for the sync of vendors from your accounting software to Request Finance.
To review the vendor matching and make adjustments:
In Request Accounting, navigate to Accruals > Vendors
Review the vendor in Request (left column) and the matched vendor in your accounting software (right column)
Make adjustments as necessary
For new vendors: when you have new vendors, you will need to add them on both platforms; in Request and in your accounting software and match them
3. Match asset accounts with payment methods used for bill payments
When you pay a bill, your accounting software needs to know which asset account to credit (reduce) to balance the transaction. You'll need to assign one asset account to each payment method you use.
In Request Accounting, navigate to Accruals > Payment Methods
Review your payment methods (each wallet address and token combination)
Assign one asset account (right column) to each payment method you use for payment
Tip: To quickly find relevant payment methods, you can activate a filter to only show payment methods you used for payments previously:
