When adding a USD bank account for a US-located bank, you can provide two types of bank account details: ACH/SWIFT or Wire.
To receive Wire transfers, recipients are usually charged a fee of $12 to $20 per received payment. To avoid unnecessary fees on your recipients' side, Request recommends using ACH/SWIFT details where possible.
If you're not sure which details to use, reach out to your recipient.
You can compare all three payment options below:
Feature | ACH* | SWIFT | Wire* |
Required Details | Account number, ACH routing number | Account number, SWIFT/BIC code | Account number, Wire/ABA routing number |
Speed | 2-3 business days | 5 business days | 1-2 business days |
Costs for payer (Crypto-to-Fiat with Request) | 1% | 1% | 1% |
Costs for recipient | None | Usually none | $12 to $20 |
*Sending Crypto-to-Fiat payments via ACH and Wire requires a separate verification. Contact [email protected] to get access.
