Transactions performed outside of Request are generally not insured. Additionally, there are certain events beyond our control that cannot be insured:

  • Human error: Unintended but non-malicious contract interactions due to human error.

  • Wrong EOA: Transfer to an unintended EOA as part of a legitimate transaction due to human error.

  • Internal fraud: Theft from an authorized internal party.

  • Malicious transfer to EOA: Transfer to a fraudulent EOA part of a scam/phishing campaign.

  • Wrapped asset depeg: Loss of peg to target free-floating cryptocurrency.

  • Compliance: Loss due to non-compliant transaction.

Additionally, claims are limited to the maximum covered amount and supported currencies and networks. Claim payouts can't be made to sanctioned countries.

Claims made for transactions designed to exploit the Request Finance platform for whitehat or blackhat purposes, as part of seeking a bug bounty reward, or other uses of Request Finance outside of its intended scope are also not eligible for payout.
